Messages from nature, for a hectic human world.
Messages from nature, for a hectic human world.
You may have heard of horse whispering, a horse training method based on reading the horses body language. But did you know, it is the horses that are the true experts at reading us?
They read our emotional landscape fluently picking up on the peace within us, and notice immediately when it is missing.
It is "they" who hear "our" whispers, the words we cant share, the fears we dare not admit, and
the weight of secrets we do so well to hide.
As preyed upon animals horses are hardwired to read stress in others in its most subtle stages, long before outward signs show, and associated behaviours.
To truly connect with a horse we must first connect with ourselves.
They are profoundly gifted at calling us into line.
And their only motive... safety.
When we feel safe, they relax, then, and only then can peace resume.
All mammals share a common communication ability, the language of physical "feelings" or biofeedback.
Wrapped around the intestines of all mammals lies a nervous system designed to resonate with the emotional state of the creature in question called the enteric nervous system. Crucially this system has the ability to sympathetically resonate with frequencies emitted by other nervous systems (limbic resonance). This is why we may feel nervous, excited or relaxed around certain other people, especially those we connect or "resonate" with, a gut instinct isn't just a hunch.
We have the ability to literally feel what others feel. Emotional states are ruled by our thoughts both positive and negative and so this gut feedback once honed can give us the ability to read others intentions help us to avoid danger, or signalling when it may be safe to connect.
Horses are particularly fluent at this form of communication with large resonant bellies and several million years of evolution perfecting the art. This as their primary form of communication, followed by body language and then vocalisation. Humans on the other hand tend to defer to the spoken word, then instinct, then body language often ignoring inconvenient signals or misinterpreting them to fit a narrative or desired outcome.
It is said that the gut responds 1000 times faster than the brain, the information is instant, non verbal and unfiltered making it extremely accurate, even over large distances.
Horses aren't interested in your story, where you are from or how you got here. They are only interested in how peaceful you are. As sentient creatures feelings are their first language, they are fluent at reading none verbal exchange.
